The Committee then considered a

despatch dated the 2nd of November, 1927, from the

Officer Administering the Goverment of Hong Kong

forwarding copies of the Annual Reports of the Medical and Sanitary Departments of the Colony for the year 1926.

The Committee expressed the view that the question of the amalgamation of the medical and Sanitary Departments under the control of one Director should be considered, and that, if this

proved to be possible, one report only should be issued in future years which should conform as closely as possible to the model Medical Report and which should contain in narrative form a full review of the health and sanitary conditions prevailing in

the Colony.
